The organisation of our leisure time can look very different. Some hobbies require more material, others require special facilities such as swimming pools, climbing gyms or theatres. The construction and maintenance of these facilities cause emissions.

The more expensive a leisure activity is, the more climate impact it tends to have. Note that the emissions for travel and journeys, clothing and overnight stays have already been recorded elsewhere in the calculator and therefore do not need to be taken into account here.
